Tasks Every day
- Equipment checks (as per list near front door)
- General tidy up of studio – equipment in right place, furniture organise and presentable, etc.
- Assist clients with setup and access (including setting up door codes)
- Anything from below that studio availability and time allows for
Dust / Clean / Vacuum Equipment
Equipment to be cleaned:
- All rack-gear, consoles, speakers *
- Patch bays **
- Mic stands, and music stands
- Chandeliers, globes, light fixtures (duster)
Cleaning equipment locations:
- Cordless vacuum/microfibre clothes under the kitchen sink
- Duster in Fire Hose Reel cupboard
- Air duster canisters and isopropyl alcohol in “Mic locker”
* Absolutely ZERO liquids for cleaning audio equipment. Please stick to vacuum, dusting, dry clothes. The ONLY liquid you may use is water to dampen a cloth (i.e. sparingly) with the equipment turned OFF.
** Patch bays to be cleaned with a bantam cable by repeatedly inserting it, then twisting it, into each socket. Intermittently wipe down the bantam cable with isopropyl alcohol and cloth. Check for excessive residue, and repeat as necessary.
Relocate Cables Studio-wide.
- Please see Cable Inventory. Check the quantities in each room, and relocate cables as required. We want to avoid an excess, or lack-of, cables in any particular room.
- Re-roll any cables that appear poorly rolled. A “good roll” will appear like a “compressed spring”, and doesn’t knot easily when unrolling.
- Cables with missing labels to be set aside for relabelling. Notify Nick for relabelling!

Tidy Computer Cabling
- Tidy up visible cables in the studios, e.g around Macs and docks.
- Do NOT unplug anything you’re not confident about.
- Ensure nothing is left unplugged.
