These instructions will guide you to record a mic in Studio 1’s vocal booth. For recording in the control room, instead, click here (site under construction).
Assuming you have already set up a microphone on a stand:
- In your DAW, create a (mono) audio channel and make the input Analog 5.
- Plug the microphone into Mic Input 29 in the booth (D Panel).
- Turn on Neve 1073DPX Pre-amp.
- Ensure all of the buttons of the pre-amp are OUT.
- On the bantam patch-bay: connect Neve 1073 Line Output to RME Line Input 5.
- Adjust the red MIC and grey LEVEL controls to set an appropriate record level.
